Genealogical Societies

There are two organizations which have an interest in the genealogy of Union County families. The first organization is:

The Society was established in xxxx and functions as a chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. The volunteer staff compiles and publishes a newsletter, Union echoes, which contains a variety of articles including transcripts of manuscript records, news, pedigree charts, queries, and surnames being researched. The Society will also undertake research for a fee of $xxx per hour plus the cost of photocopies and postage. The society and the public library collaborate to build a genealogical collection. The collection contains a number of published and unpublished sources of information concerning Union County families. A list of publications for sale by the Society is given below.

The second organization indirectly concerned with the genealogy of Union County families is:

The Society compiles and publishes a monthly newsletter, The Ohio Genealogical Society newsletter, and a quarterly journal, The report, which occasionally include material related to Logan County genealogy. The Society has established a web page containing information about its programs and services.
